In the weekend I had an enjoyable tour for bird watching around Arraiolos,
with a friendly group of American birders. We can observe the Northern
Wheatear, Little Ringed Plover, Common Sandpiper, Grey Herons, Eurasian
Spoonbill, Hoopoe, Zitting Cisticola,
Willow Warbler, Spotted Flycatcher, European Pied Flycatcher, Wood Lark,
dozens of Goldfinches, Blue Tit, Sardinian Warbler, some Griffon
Vulture and many more. We can enjoy a spectacular observation of two
Booted Eagles flying over the group.
Note that the group was all female and the older was 85 years old. This is a reality very different from the Portuguese.
